Cohort Model

Classes for students in both tracks of the M.Ed. start in early June of each year, forming a cohort of students on track to graduate together within two years and at the end of the third summer.  Students take one course during each fall and spring terms and two courses simultaneously during the summer. Each term is 8 weeks long.

To make planning easier, the face-to-face sessions are outlined below.

Hybrid Schedule

The Midland M.Ed's hybrid structure has been proven to as effective, if not more, than traditional online graduate programs. All courses throughout the 2-year program meet both in person and online, allowing you to benefit from the best of both worlds.

Each term runs for eight weeks, consisting of two face-to-face weekends (the first and sixth Saturday) and six distance weekends. The required in-person meetings give all students the chance to meet professors and work directly with classmates, while the optional online work can be completed throughout the week when student's schedules allow.
