Overview

Why the Midland M.Ed.?

The Midland University Master of Education is designed for full-time teachers who are ready to grow into new roles within their school or district.

Our 36-credit hour program offers a unique opportunity to become a National Board Certified Teacher and be a part of a highly respected community of educations in the state and across the country, or earn a Principal Endorsement to grow into a formal leadership role.

Can’t decide which path is the right path? Students who have already completed one track can prepare for wherever their education careers take them by continuing on for one additional year and pursuing BOTH tracks.

Flexible, Hybrid Structure

Designed around a teacher’s demanding schedule, our hybrid program structure combines valuable face-to-face classes with the flexibility of online coursework. Over each eight-week course, students spend two Saturdays in-person at Midland University Omaha.

Experienced Instructors

Learn from Midland’s M.Ed. instructors who have multiple years of combined K-12 leadership in education. They provide the necessary resources and commitment to help students understand both the theory and the application of course content. Each student will work one-on-one with a mentor who will engage and support their learning throughout the program.

Professional Network

The Midland M.Ed.'s hybrid structure offers students the opportunity to build a strong professional network and life-long connections as they move through the program as a cohort. Meeting with classmates and instructors during face-to-face sessions allows our students to challenge other's thinking and to share authentic experiences to enrich learning while strengthening the quality and meaning of the online discussions and assignments.
